The short version
Routine Rocket doesn't collect your data. Everything you create stays on your device — and, only if you choose, in your own private iCloud. There are no accounts, no ads, and no third-party tracking or analytics. Our App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
Who we are
Routine Rocket ("the app") is an independent iOS app made by Phillip Gray. This policy explains how the app handles your information. Any questions: hello@routinerocket.app.
Information we collect
None. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The app has no accounts and no sign-up, and we have no server that receives your data.
Where your data lives
The routines, categories, tasks, notes and settings you create are stored locally on your device. They stay there unless you take an action that moves them (see iCloud sync and sharing below).
iCloud sync (optional, Pro)
If you enable sync, your data is stored in your own private iCloud account and kept in step across your devices by Apple's iCloud (CloudKit private database). It is not visible to us, and we have no access to it. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn sync off at any time.
Sharing a list (optional)
If you share a list, the app encodes that single list into a link so the recipient's app can recreate it. The data travels only through whatever app you choose to send the link with (Messages, email, etc.) — never through us. We don't see or store shared lists.
Backups (optional, Pro)
You can export a backup file and import it later or on another device. The file is created on your device and goes wherever you save or send it. We don't receive it.
Purchases
Routine Rocket Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Purchase and restore are processed through the App Store under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Analytics & diagnostics
The app includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. If you have opted in to share diagnostics with Apple at the system level, Apple may provide us with anonymised, aggregated crash and usage reports through App Store Connect. These come from Apple and are not linked to your identity by us.
Children's privacy
The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Because we collect no data, we collect no data from children either.
Your control
Your data is yours. You can edit or delete any content in the app at any time, and deleting the app removes its on-device data. If you use iCloud sync, you can also manage or delete the app's iCloud data from your device's iCloud settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
